Keep your OnePlus 11’s display looking great for the long haul
The high-performing but reasonably priced OnePlus 11 takes the company back to its enthusiast-brand roots and packs flagship-level hardware, thanks to the superpowered Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. It also features a gorgeous design with a smooth glass back and a Hasselblad-tuned camera that stands out and looks the part. Then there’s its excellent battery life, which only adds to its case as one of the best Android phones of the year — it’s the phone to buy for anybody who was a fan of OnePlus in its heyday.
It’s a beautiful phone but not quite as durable as other recent glass-wrapped flagships. OnePlus cut a few corners by using Corning’s slightly older Gorilla Glass Victus on the display rather than the newer Gorilla Glass Victus 2 found on Samsung’s Galaxy S23 lineup. The older version still offers good protection against drops, but it’s less resistant to scratches, fingerprints, and smudges.
You’ll notice that some of the top screen protectors for the OnePlus 11 are actually designed for the OnePlus 10 Pro. That’s because this is one of the rare cases where a phone’s front glass is identical to its predecessor’s. It doesn’t apply to any camera protectors that may be included, though. Why OnePlus 11 screen protectors are so tough to use
It’s all about the curves with the OnePlus 11. Those sleek, rounded screen edges make the device especially easy to use (for its size, anyway) and also make it a struggle to fit microscopically thin glass precisely and consistently. Sometimes, this is due to user error (or just a difficult installation process), and sometimes it’s a manufacturing defect. But the screen protectors on this list are the most consistent and precise options available.
Traditionally, most screen protectors are installed by dropping them on a clean phone and forcing the bubbles out before the glue dries. If you’ve done this a lot and are confident, the Willone tempered glass kit is the most consistently praised. Since the glue’s already cured, you only have one chance to drop it right there. If you mess up, the glass will eventually pull away from the screen, at which point you can use the second one it comes with.
But there are better ways to do it with the OnePlus 11 if you don’t think you have the magic trick for the typical dry glue. The fancy way is to go with a wet installation option.
