If you’re on the hunt for a good pair of headphones or wireless earbuds, there’s no better time to buy, since there are plenty of great options to go with. But if you’re looking to save, then you might want to hold off on that purchase, since Amazon’s Prime Day sales event is set to take place on July 16 and 17.

And while we expect to see big savings on phones, smartwatches, and even headphones and earbuds, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t already deals available now that we shouldn’t take a look at. So let’s go ahead and take a look at some of our favorite headphones and earbuds from brands like Sony, Bose, Samsung, and others, and see whether it’s better to buy now, or to hold off until Prime Day.

Best Sony headphones and earbuds deals

You really can’t go wrong if you’re planning on going with Sony. The brand has done a stellar job with its audio products over the past few years, releasing some of the best headphones and wireless earbuds that you can buy. The Sony WH1000XM5 and WF-1000XM5 are some of our favorites, but as you can see, the brand does offer some nice mid-range options as well.

Unfortunately, we’re not seeing any great discounts on these products at this time, which could mean that Amazon is planning some great discounts around these products for Prime Day. With that said, if you can, it’d be a good idea to wait it out.

Best Bose headphone and earbuds deals

You really can’t go wrong with Bose. The brand offers a variety of high-end headphones and earbuds, with great sound and excellent ANC. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra are some of our favorite headphones of the year, and the QuietComfort Ultra earbuds are a great pair of earbuds as well. While we’d love to recommend buying these and other Bose products, we’d definitely suggest waiting for Prime Day to see what kind of deals might be unlocked during the event. In the past, we have seen some deep discounts on these products, so there’s a good chance that these same or even better deals will arrive in July.

Best Beats headphones and earbuds deals

If you’re looking for a pair of headphones and earbuds that sound good but also look great, then the Beats lineup is going be right down your alley. And if you’re someone that has both Android and Apple products, Beats are going to be the best option here as they play nice with both ecosystems. We’ve seen some stellar discounts in the past on Beats, and as you can see right now, Amazon isn’t really offering any great discounts. So if you’ve been eyeing a new pair of headphones or earbuds from the brand, we suggest checking back when Prime Day is in full effect.

Best Samsung earbuds deals

If you’re looking to grab a pair of Samsung earbuds, now’s going to be a pretty good time. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are down to one of their lowest prices to date. And the more affordable Galaxy Buds FE also get a small discount, but if you’re eyeing these, it’s best to wait, since we’ve seen these much cheaper in the past. But as far as the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, get them now, because this is the best price we’ve seen in quite some time.

Best Google earbuds deals

Google hasn’t really made any big moves with its audio products as of late, relying on its older Pro and A series products to carry the weight. And while this isn’t a bad thing as these are some pretty good products, we wish that we’d see better prices on these models considering their age. With that said, we’re not seeing any great discounts here at this time, and we would definitely recommend holding off on buying these until we see what kinds of deals are going to be available on Prime Day. In the past, we have seen some pretty incredible discounts, so we won’t be surprised to see these on sale during the upcoming sales event.

When is Prime Day?

Amazon announced that Prime Day will take place on July 16 and 17. If you’re someone that wants to get their shopping done early, Amazon is planning to kick things off at 12:01AM PDT on July 16. Of course, you can always just browse the deals at your leisure, since there will be deals rolling out throughout the day. Plus, like previous years, there will also be invite-only deals for some of the hottest products.

How many Prime Day events are there?

Those that have been keeping tabs on Prime Day events will notice that the brand has expanded its event schedule, with a variety of Prime Day events throughout the year, with the most recent being the Prime Big Deal Days. For the most part, the summer event is the largest one it holds, which means, it’s the best time to shop and get some serious deals.

Do you need to be a Prime member to take advantage of Prime Day deals?

Yes, this is one of the requirements in order to take advantage of all the special deals that will arrive for the event. If you aren’t an Amazon Prime member, you won’t see special pricing for items, which means you won’t get the deepest savings during the event.

The good thing is that if you’ve never tried Amazon Prime, now’s going to be the perfect time to give it a whirl, as the brand offers a free 30-day trial for first-time users. Previous Amazon Prime members may even be able to pick up a highly limited time trial for a discounted price. Regardless, if you see something you want, you’ll need to be signed up to take advantage of all the sweet deals.
